Calling all motivated BIM Technicians!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have an excellent new opportunity for a BIM Technician to join a leading, multi-disciplinary Design Consultancy on a long-term contract basis in Birmingham.

As the selected candidate, you will be required to operate flexibly by having a mixed office and remote presence. The selected candidate will be joining an experienced Engineering team and will play a key role in providing technical support, overseeing project documentation, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects.

Our client is offering the opportunity to work with an enthusiastic team of Engineers and Technicians on exciting projects in a range of sectors, including, Nuclear, Custodial, Industrial, Power and Education.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the creation and development of 3D models using BIM software

· Ensure accuracy and completeness of BIM models in accordance with project requirements

· Generate 2D drawings and documentation from BIM models for various project phases

· Maintain organised and up-to-date drawing sets

· Work closely with BIM coordinators and project teams to implement BIM standards

· Coordinate with different disciplines to integrate models effectively

·Conduct regular checks on BIM models to identify and resolve discrepancies

· Support clash detection and resolution processes

· Provide assistance to project team members in the use of BIM tools and processes

· Participate in training sessions to enhance BIM proficiency

· Stay updated on the latest versions and features of BIM software such as Autodesk Revit

· Explore and recommend new tools to improve efficiency

Key Requirements:

· Able to achieve Security Clearence

- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field

· Previous experience as a BIM Technician in the construction or architectural industry

· Proficiency in BIM software, especially Autodesk Revit

· Familiarity with BIM standards and protocols

· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

- Good communication and teamwork abilities
