Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join an international sustainable development Consultancy, on a permanent basis, in Birmingham.

Due to our client’s continued growth, they are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in the design and specification of electrical building services systems on a variety of Education and Hospital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools

· Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems

· Maintain and develop positive client relations

· Checking the design work of fellow team members and external designers in accordance with departmental procedures

· Prepare conceptual designs to ensure safe, practical, and economic solutions in accordance with current standards

- Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead

- Attend project and client meetings when required

Key Requirements:

· A degree in Electrical Engineering

· Extensive Electrical Design Engineering experience  

· Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

- Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools

- Awareness of the principles of building physics

- Ability to be client facing
