Blueprint Recruitment has a new opportunity for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading Engineering Consultancy, on a permanent staff basis from either the Reading or Bournemouth offices.

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, implementation and maintenance of various Electrical Systems for major Commercial and Residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop specifications for Electrical building services systems

· Collaborate with the BIM team to create models and drawings

· Represent the company at meetings with Clients and Contractors

· Conduct thorough site surveys and inspections

· Review and comprehend project briefs to identify client requirements

· Monitor ongoing site works to ensure compliance with design specifications

- Prepare detailed reports and technical notes, documenting project progress

· Review project progress, identifying and reporting any anomalies  

Key Requirements:

· 2-3 years’ experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer

· A degree in Electrical Engineering

· Ability to act on your own initiative

- Experience working in a Consultancy is beneficial

- Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools

- Ability to be client facing

- Awareness of the principles of building physics
