Last week contractor Morgan Sindall saw the departure of London and south east managing director Tony Dixon, despite only working at the company for 11 months. It has now been announced that Andy Fookes, commercial director for London, Dave Diboll, operations director for London and Martin Pitt, the national commercial director are also leaving the contractor.
Morgan Sindall referred to these departures as essential in “reshaping its commercial operations and streamlining its business across the South and West of England”. Internal promotion of Sharon Chrippes, formerly the commercial director for the northern region, has been offered Pitt’s former position.
These changes in the executive team are all believed to be part of a wider ‘shake-up’, which will allow Morgan Sindall the opportunity to progress. Managing director of the construction and design division Pat Boyle has said: “in ensuring we are both efficient and effective in our management teams, it makes sense for us to streamline the South and South West construction business units into one, which allows for clearer reporting and better use of our experience resource and market intelligence.
“Ian Cheung, myself and the team are excited about the challenge and opportunities ahead. We are also delighted to see Sharon promoted- she will bring a lot of insight and fresh drive to the role in construction and design.”
