Blueprint Recruitment is working with a global Design and Technology Consultancy, who are looking for a Principal Drainage Engineer to join them on a permanent staff basis to operate across the UK.  

The successful candidate will undertake a crucial role in the design of drainage Infrastructure for major Highways, Rail, Energy and Water projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead drainage designs from concept to construction

· Overseeing the production of drainage designs, models, calculations and drawings

· Ensuring designs, models, calculations and drawings meet requirements and standards

· Contribute to the development of more junior staff

· Maintain and develop strong client relations

· Attend project and client meetings when required

· Provide support in bidding opportunities to win work

· Identify and mitigate risks

Key Requirements:

· Working knowledge of the Drainage sector

· A degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject

· Extensive experience in Drainage Engineering

- Strong technical skills

· Past experience in business development, client management and project management

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Familiarity with industry standards and design codes related to drainage

· Ability to develop positive client relationships

· Full clean UK driving licence
