Principal Electrical Design Engineer required!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a global Design Practice on a permanent basis. This position offers the successful candidate the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis!

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of various Electrical Systems within a range of projects. Our client has built an unrivalled reputation for providing high-quality services in the following sectors, Education, Retail, Transport and Technology.    

Key Responsibilities:

• Representing the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams
• Developing the applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building Engineering services purposes
• Develop and support more junior Engineers
• Produce survey tests and reports on existing Electrical installations
• Maintain and develop positive client relations
• Conduct regular checks of designs and specifications
• Carry out Engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards

Key Requirements:

• Pharmaceutical or life science specialist is preferred
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field
• Experience leading projects
• Good knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
• Previous experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
• Confident in specification design/drawing for several building types
• Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc
• Sound understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy
• Ability to work independently and as a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
