Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity for a seasoned Resident Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary Design Consultancy on a long-term contract basis, outside IR35.  

The successful candidate with be joining an experienced delivery team based in London, to contribute to an exciting Data Centre project.

Our client is looking for a Resident Engineer to review and witness work on site, acting as an inspection, whilst reporting and liaising with the project’s disciplined leads.  

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate effectively with the General Contractor, subcontractors and the supply chain

- Coordinate and resolve design issues

- Oversee site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design

- Carry out site snagging and witness testing

- Co-ordinate on-site inspections

-  Ensure that relevant tests and inspections are performed

- Maintain good client and design team relationships

- Maintain accurate records and reports

- Attend meetings as required for the project

Key Requirements:

- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or relevant field

- Membership of a professional Engineering body is preferred.

- A CSCS cardholder

- Extensive site experience as a CSA Resident Engineer

- Experience with critical Engineering facilities/Data Centres is advantageous

- Strong knowledge of statutory legislation and industry standards

- Good knowledge and use of appropriate project control systems and Common Data Environments

- Ability to read and interpret contract documents and construction plans and specifications
