Are you a seasoned Resident Engineer looking for your next challenge?

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have a brilliant opportunity for a motivated Residential Engineer to join a well-known Defence Company, on a long-term contract basis in Plymouth.

The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing and witnessing work on site, acting as an inspection, whilst liaising with the project’s leads.  

Our client has built an unrivalled reputation for providing exciting Engineering projects in various sectors, including, Marine, Nuclear, Aviation and Land.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and resolve design issues

- Oversee site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design

- Ensure that relevant tests and inspections are performed

- Develop and maintain positive client relations

- Maintain accurate records and reports

- Attend project meetings when required

- Coordinate on-site inspections

- Liaise with the Project Team, Contractors and Clients

- Ensure materials delivered to site meet the specifications and industry quality standards

- Contribute to the development of more junior staff members

Key Requirements:

- A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant field

- Ability to obtain SC Clearence

- Extensive site experience as a Resident Engineer

- Working knowledge of legislation and industry standards

- Experience in quality control procedures and standards

- Strong analytical skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
