Fantastic New Opportunity! Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a driven Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join a global Energy and Renewables Company, on a permanent basis. This position is offering the successful Engineer the opportunity to join an experienced technical team and collaborate with Engineers, Consultants and Project Managers on a major Energy facility project, in Cumbria. If selected, you will be responsible for ensuring a quality service is delivered to customers whilst also supporting the ongoing development of less experienced members of the Engineering team. Our client specialises in a variety of sectors, including, Oil and Gas, Power and Renewable Energy. Calling all Senior Mechanical Engineers! Blueprint Recruitment has a great opportunity for a senior mechanical engineer. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an exciting organisation that specialise in the research and development of energy and natural hazard protection, across Europe. As part of the Engineering team, you will be able to get involved with a wide variety of projects, including the rare opportunity to drive them through from start to finish and see the impact of your work in a real-world environment. We have opportunities for both Technical Engineers and those looking to lead small teams and projects (including sub-contractors). You will personally undertake some of the more complex design tasks as required and provide specialist engineering advice in the Mechanical engineering discipline. The Role: The successful candidates will get a chance to work on worlds firsts energy and energy transitions projects, including design and construction of major hazard, experimental test rigs and destructive testing. This position is truly unique and provides the candidate with a fantastic opportunity to work on, large-scale, multi-year projects, within the future energies sector and its distribution network. Key responsibilities: Responsible for the design and construction of full-scale, major hazard, experimental test rigs Create technical documents and scope of work packages with clients Developing specifications for mechanical systems and associated equipment Produce drawings and documents, provide technical help and solutions, and control and maintain technical change Participate in design reviews and review Performance Standards for Safety Critical Elements in relation to mechanical systems Key requirements: Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering Previous experience working within the Gas or Renewables industry is beneficial Chartership is preferred Ability to produce engineering drawings and design calculations An understanding of technical safety and its impact on the various control systems with the energy sector Proactive in planning and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
