Calling all seasoned Highway Engineers! Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are working with a leading Engineering Consultancy who have an exciting new opportunity for a motivated Highway Engineer, on a contract basis. This position is offering the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis, attending the Milton Keynes office 3 days per week to contribute to an exciting Rail project! The successful candidate will get the chance to be part of an experienced Engineering team and the responsibility of planning, designing and implementing Highway projects. Our client is offering the opportunity to work with an enthusiastic team of Engineers and Technicians who specialise in the following sectors, Leisure, Transport, Nuclear, Water and Waste. Key Responsibilities: · Lead the planning and design phases of Highway projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations · Develop detailed Engineering designs, specifications, and construction plans · Specify and select appropriate materials for construction · Provide technical oversight during construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications · Conduct environmental impact assessments · Implement measures to mitigate environmental impacts · Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates · Monitor project expenditures to ensure they align with approved budgets · Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders · Communicate project updates and address concerns from the public · Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of Highway infrastructure · Conduct inspections and assessments to verify compliance with design standards Key Requirements: · Experience working on Rail or Highways projects · Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field · Proven experience in Highway Engineering and project management · Proficient in relevant Engineering software and design tools · Strong knowledge of Highway design codes, standards, and regulations · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment · Familiarity with environmental impact assessment processes For further information on this opportunity, please contact Maisie Coleman on 02392 603030 or email maisie.coleman@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.
