This opportunity is offering the flexibility to attend the Reading office 3 times per week to work on a large Manufacturing facility. As the selected candidate, you will be a crucial member of the team, designing and developing Architectural projects from conception to completion, whilst providing technical expertise. COST PLANNER

Blueprint Recruitment is looking to speak with Cost Planners to join a global Design Engineering Consultancy, on a contract basis. The successful candidate must be able to commute into Reading, as this position requires office presence on a hybrid basis. If selected, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, budgets and forecasts for construction projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities: · Update SAP with information pertaining to forecasts, actuals and slippage · Tracking key milestones required by the business · Assure the quality of the data and compliance with financial and corporate policies - Work alongside the governance team to ensure that changes to funding reflect project initiatives and changes in governance · Liaise the Programme Manager to ensure monitoring and forecasting of Unbriefed allocations · Support Budget setting and financial forecasting for their functional area of the business · Maintain a consistent Cost Breakdown Schedule within SAP with Activity ID mapping and coding, enabling compliance with IFRS and other reporting standards · Ensure that changes to baseline performance are escalated · Ensure correct cost settlement and capitalisation Key Requirements: · 10 years’ experience with the use of SAP · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field · Extensive experience in cost planning · Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Detail-oriented and organised · Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team For further information on this opportunity, please contact Mac Howieson on 02392 603030 or email mac.howieson@blueprintrecruit.com Alternatively, please apply directly using the “Apply” option below.

This job opportunity for an Electrical Associate is one you don’t want to miss! The successful candidate will be permanently joining a respected multidiscipline Property and Construction Consultancy, working hybrid, based 2-3 times a week in the Reading office. This role involves contributing to a range of major projects. Our client is expanding its dynamic team due to the increasing demands for services in various sectors including, Defence, Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Leisure. Key Responsibilities: Attending project group and technical meetings Working knowledge of MEP scope/appointments and excellent commercial acumen Lead MEP Engineering teams delivering a range of project work Supporting more junior staff to develop Managing risk within MEP engineering projects Supervising and monitoring the work of others in this function Ensure building systems designs and maintenance meet legislative and health and safety requirements Producing reports, drawings and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages Ability to use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project Communicating and working closely with other professionals, including Structural Engineers, Architects, surveyors, and Contractors Key Requirements: The ability to form and maintain working relationships Strong project management skills Chartered Engineer or working towards Previous experience within an electrical building services design role from either a consultant or contractor background Honours degree in a relevant subject or equivalent The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Excellent communication skills Benefits: Flexible/hybrid working Car allowance Generous bonus scheme 26 days holiday - entitlements increasing by 1 day per annum after 3, 5 and 8 years Private healthcare Life assurance Standard 6% pension contribution - rising to 7% after 5 years, and 8% after 10 years.
