Attention all CAD Technicians!
Blueprint Recruitment has a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join a worldwide Engineering Consultancy, on a permanent basis.
This position requires the selected candidate to operate flexibly, attending the Guildford office 2-3 days per week to develop high quality 2D drawings and 3D models.
Our client has a global reputation for delivering, technical, innovative and practical design solutions in multiple sectors, including, Bridges, Road, Rail, water, Energy and Aviation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assisti with the development of staff members
· Producing quality reinforcement drawings
· Completing and revising detailed drawings and models for implementation
· Ensuring that all work meets the quality of the client brief
· Communicating with teams of Engineers, Designers, and other project staff
Key Requirements:
· Experience using Tekkla Structures
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Previous experience developing and maintaining in-house CAD/BIM standards and tools
· Have experience of document control for 2D drawings and BIM model collaboration using Common Data Environments (CDE0)
· Extensive experience developing engineering drawings based on sketches and markups provided by engineers
· Able to take your initiative and make your own decisions when necessary
· Past experience working on civil/structural engineering projects, ideally with bridges
· High level of expertise of 2D drafting using AutoCAD
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team when required
· Have experience of 3D BIM model creation using at least one software package
