This opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer is one you don’t want to miss!

Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a reputable Construction and Engineering Consultancy, on a permanent basis. As the successful candidate, you will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis, attending the Bristol office 3-4 days per week!

This position is offering the opportunity to work with an enthusiastic team of Engineers and Technicians on exciting Heritage and Student accommodation projects. If selected, you will support younger members of the design team whilst also being hands on in the design work.

Our client provides a range of high-quality services, such as, Building Design, Infrastructure Planning and BIM Services, in a variety of sectors, including, Residential, Education, Commercial and Healthcare.

 Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the concept through to construction

· Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed client requirements, budgets, profit margins and quality standards etc

· Lead and deliver design, construction and installation projects

· Work closely with clients and project teams to establish project requirements

· Representing the Company at meetings with customers, architects, professional teams and contractor teams

· Prepare project reports for Management, Clients and others

· Manage designs compliant with latest CDM regulations, liaising with CAD team on M&E drawing production

· Mentoring more junior Engineers when required

· Coordination of Engineering services, with hands on delivery of concepts and detailed designs

· Complete risk and performance monitoring analysis through effective systems of internal control and delegation

Key Requirements:

· Chartered Engineer status or working towards

· Degree qualification in Engineering or a relevant field

· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Sound working knowledge of key health and safety issues/legislation

· High level of experience at chairing and leading project team meetings

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team when required

· Want to take ownership, be innovative, use initiative and are driven by client satisfaction

·  Have experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design team
