This opportunity for a Structural Engineer is one you don’t want to miss!

Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity for a driven Structural Engineer to join a well-known Defence Company, on a long-term contract basis.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a largely remote basis, with the occasional site visit!

Our client is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to contribute to the company’s success, you will play a crucial role in the design of various structural projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The reputable company have built an unrivalled reputation for providing exciting Engineering projects in various sectors, including, Marine, Nuclear, Aviation and Land.

Key Responsibilities:

· Reinforced concrete framework experience

· Design and specify all aspects of Structural works

· Previous mass housing experience is ideal

· Producing design deliverables (including drawings, specifications and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties

· Liaising with clients and members of the design team to ensure progress against the project brief

· Working in a multi-disciplinary team where you will lead and oversee deliverables

· Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion

· Ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality structural Engineering design

· Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities

· Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team

· Effectively manage own time, especially if allocated to more than one project

Key Requirements:

· Previous hands on deign experience

· Able to obtain SC Clearence

· Degree qualified in Structural Engineering or a relevant field

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Previous experience working on Residential projects

· Chartered Engineer status or working towards

· Experience in Calculating and Detailing for Steel /Concrete and Timber structures

· Able to work as part of a team and independently when necessary

· Has successfully led the Structural Engineering delivery of projects

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Experience in the design of common structural materials, demonstrating a solid foundation in Structural Engineering principles and a good understanding of current design standards and practices

· Able to make decisions, act on your own initiative, and operate in a pro-active way
