Our client is a major company in the UK Water Sector. They currently have a vacancy for an Electrical Technician to join them in London. The successful candidate will perform a range of activities such as testing, routing checks, maintenance and problem solving. This will ensure that services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards. This may include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the plant.


Day to day responsibilities:

  • Investigating plant failures and carrying out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid interruptions to the process. This may involve investigating and diagnosing complex faults and carrying out repairs during incidents.
  • Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment in compliance with company procedures in order to minimise plant breakdowns.
  • Providing technical advice to the wider team, making reference to up to date technical knowledge, and provide training or support for technical trainees if required.
  • Using technical equipment such as various pumps and associated control gear, 3 phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSD’s, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level and pressure measurement, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives and controls, chemical handling and dosing equipment.


  • HNC Electrical Engineering

  • 18th Edition.

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety.

  • City & Guilds Testing & Inspection.

  • Industrial Experience.

  • Water Industry Experience (Preferred).


  • Salary of up to £35000 p.a.

  • 26 days holiday.

  • Pension match of up to 12%.

  • Typical working hours will be Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:36, working 38 hours a week.
