New opportunity for a Project Manager to join a reputable Water Company. My client is looking for a talented Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to achieve the company’s goals in the most affordable way, which requires the successful implementation of Capital Investment Delivery Programmes to deliver their engineering projects.

As the Project Manager will get the opportunity to join a rapidly growing team and work on some of the top Engineering projects in the South Staffs and Cambridge regions. You will work in a fast-paced environment driving exceptional quality and service for projects. 


As the Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering projects to the time cost and quality requirements and needs of the business.

  • Assuring Health and Safety regulatory requirements are met, monitoring performance and promoting the best practice including undertaking monthly H&S site audits

  • Assisting Stakeholders in developing agreed scopes, to cover any identified investment need and manage and prioritise contracts

  • Acting as NEC Project Manager and Construction Supervisor under the contract.

  • Preparing, submitting project estimates and forecasts, monitoring costs against budget baselines and adhering to financial regulations

  • Reviewing costs and supporting with the preparation and submission of contract payment certificates

  • Monitoring and reporting on Benchmarking and Key Performance Indicators and instigating corrective action where necessary

  • Managing project changes as and when required

  • Providing project management and engineering expertise, to support the unit and other functions across the business


Personal Requirements:

  • Experience in the delivery of engineering, infrastructure or utility projects

  • Knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 Contracts would be beneficial.

  •  Ideally having a BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Process Engineering or similar technical subject (consideration will be given to BTEC/HND qualifications),

  • Excellent report writing skills.

  • Knowledge of the CDM Regulations and Health and Safety in construction would be beneficial. 

  • Competent across the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Demonstrated personal commitment to high standards in health and safety management. 

  • Good communication skills are essential and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • A full valid driving licence is essential as the role will require travelling to different locations within our area of supply and across both regions.
