We have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Building Services Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary consultancy. Our client maintains an enviable reputation for producing award-winning solutions throughout a variety of market sectors both nationally and internationally. They provide a full spectrum of multidisciplinary services, from the highly strategic to the minutely technical. Their projects span from master planning a city to designing a façade connection detail, in which innovative designs are their aim.

With their diverse experience, they cover a variety of project sectors, including offices, business parks, retail, leisure and residential. Due to continued expansion, they are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their successful team based in Manchester.

As the selected candidate, you will join their expanding Manchester office, working on industrial and large mixed use schemes in the UK and Belarus. Working as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will preferably have international experience alongside proven experience working on industrial projects.

Essential Requirements:

  • An ambitious individual with a strong Building Services background
  • A working knowledge of Amtech and Dialux
  • Proven experience of working on international industrial and mixed use projects
  • Ability to work unaided on design work as well as a part of a team
  • First-rate communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills, demonstrating the capability to meet project deadlines
  • Good supervisory qualities and experience
  • The ability to take project ownership and assist the junior members of the team
  • Extensive knowledge of UK building regulations
  • Aptitude to work independently to consistently high standards

As the ideal candidate, you will be degree qualified as well as having a working knowledge of essential technical software. You will also have the ability to take responsibility of your line managers and will be able to take ownership of projects with the capability to find solutions efficiently.
