A great opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join our client in their head office in Rickmansworth has arisen! Our client is an established multi-disciplinary company including consulting, design, engineering, management and construction services, which allows them to take projects from conception to completion. Due to an increasing workload they are now looking to expand their team.

In this role you will be working on a range of complex and high specification designs for a variety of project types, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical sector. You will be responsible for preparing calculations, specifications and drawings and you will ensure that these accurately follow the client’s requirements. In this role you will work as part of a team and receive technical support from senior staff to help you achieve your career goals. 

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience as an electrical design engineer within the building services

  • Ideally some experience working on the design of laboratories, however this is not necessary

  • Technically competent with a good knowledge of relevant design software (e.g. Hevacomp, AutoCAD and ideally Revit)

  • Excellent communication skills and team-working ability

  • Flexible in order to tailor solutions to specific project and client needs

  • Well organised to prioritise workload and meet tight-deadlines

  • Drive to succeed and achieve, as high standards are important to our client
