Our Team

Mark Butter

Managing Director

Mark started the business in 2006 following a successful career with a large international recruiter. He saw an opportunity to create a specialist recruitment company by incorporating a new business model which gave a significantly higher quality of service to both clients and candidates, utilising bespoke in-house technology.

Over the past 17 years, Blueprint has flourished into a major UK Recruitment company with annual sales of £50m+. A valued partner to companies like Rolls-Royce, Atkins, Arup and Mott McDonald, Blueprint continues on its growth journey to be a top 10 UK Technical recruitment specialist.

Mark continues to lead the business as Managing Director with a core focus on the strategy and direction of Blueprint as it continues to grow.

Paul Raine

Director

Paul is a Board Director and has worked for Blueprint for 14 years. He has had a long and successful career in technical recruitment and has over 30 years’ experience.

After graduating from Southampton University, he worked in the construction industry before joining a technical recruitment business. As Group Managing Director, he guided that company to become one of the UK’s largest Engineering recruiters before leading its flotation to the AIM market in 2006.

He has been a partner and Director at Blueprint since 2009 and now works closely with the Management Team as well as leading the Internal Recruitment process. He is also closely involved with our IT team on new initiatives and strategies across the business.

Paul is a huge follower of England Rugby and spends a lot of his leisure time playing golf, tennis or badminton.

Rebecca Moore

Director - Service Delivery

After graduating from Portsmouth University, Rebecca joined the business in 2009 as a Resourcer, focussing specifically on white-collar contract placements across the Building Services sector. She quickly developed a particular specialism within CAD and BIM and still holds the company record for most placements made in a year.

Now operating as Blueprint’s Director of Service Delivery, Rebecca’s primary focus is coaching and developing our large team of Specialist Recruiters whilst ensuring that we continue to offer candidates the best experience when working with us.

Outside of work, Rebecca spends as much quality time as possible with her daughter whilst also being an avid football fan.

Luke Hanson

Director - Sales

Luke joined Blueprint in 2008 as a Trainee Consultant focussing on white-collar placements within the Building Services sector. He was initially responsible for developing some of Blueprint’s earliest relationships with both clients and candidates, and has played a significant role in the company’s evolution. Transparency, hard work and reliability is at the centre of everything he does. When working with his clients he ensures that these values are being passed on to others who are earlier in their careers at Blueprint Recruitment.

Now Director of Sales, overseeing the incredibly successful Built Environment division, Luke remains focused on client delivery. He takes immense pride in developing new and existing Recruiters within the business so that the ethos of Blueprint continues.

Outside of work, Luke is a dedicated husband and a father to two children. He enjoys watching football and rugby when allowed!

Scott Formaggia

Director - Business Development

Scott is Blueprint's Director of Business Development and has been with the company for over a decade.

Initially joining Blueprint as a trainee Recruitment Consultant back in 2011, he has supported a diverse range of clients across numerous types of contract and permanent white-collar positions, with a particular focus on the Building Services industry. He now leads the company's pursuit of new business whilst ensuring service to our current clients is maintained without compromise.

Scott lives with his young family near Havant and as a keen sports fan, spends his free time either watching football or playing basketball.

Rob Taylor

Business Development Manager

Rob supports and advises Blueprint’s Process & Energy clients whilst managing our team of Specialist Recruiters to ensure accurate delivery and high standards. Working at Blueprint has become second nature to Rob as he has a Business Management Degree and a passion for sales and relationship building.

Rob’s biggest accomplishment at Blueprint is building our Oil & Gas team from the ground up, leading it to become the fastest growing area in the company’s history. His team has now evolved into the Process, Energy and Water division, with a much larger remit.

When he isn't working, Rob enjoys an active lifestyle and you will usually find him in the gym or gardening. His favourite quote is from Muhammad Ali – “The will must be stronger than the skill.”

Adam Horner

IT Manager

After studying Computer Science at Hull University Adam Joined Blueprint in 2014. He has become one of Blueprint’s key members of staff, managing and running the IT department. Building and continually upgrading our own innovative CRM system to support the whole company, he has been central to Blueprint’s success. Adam always keeps up to date with the latest technological advances to ensure Blueprint’s systems provide the best performance for our recruiters.

In his spare time Adam loves to push himself. After completing the Three Peaks and the Great South Run in 2022, he is always looking for his next challenge. In his downtime he loves coding, playing computer games and walking his dog.

Daniel Wade

Finance Manager

Dan is Blueprint’s Finance Manager and has been working with us since 2016. After leaving school, he worked in accounts departments in various different industries, such as television, cinema, hotels and even cruise lines.

Dan has grown both our Finance and Compliance Teams and has ensured that professional and in-depth training underscores our commitment to unrivalled quality in our customer service.

Dan’s main passion is playing rugby as well as spending time with his family. If he were to swap places with anyone for the day, it would be with a travel writer-if only to travel the world and get paid for it!

Alex Wright

Lead Specialist Recruiter

Alex is a Lead Specialist Recruiter in Blueprint's highly successful Building Services sector. His primary focus is on building lasting relationships with candidates and helping them to find their ideal job. After graduating from Solent University, Alex joined the Blueprint team in 2016. Driven by honesty and professionalism, he describes his job at Blueprint as fast-paced, rewarding and very sociable. His biggest achievement to date is achieving his promotion to Lead Recruiter.

Outside of work, Alex is a very keen golfer, a big sports fan and he enjoys keeping fit. He loves live music and spending time with his girlfriend and family.

Penny Bendle

Lead Specialist Recruiter

Penny is a Lead Specialist Recruiter in Blueprint’s Civil, Structural and Architectural sector. Her focus is building up strong relationships with both candidates and clients and ensuring the process of making suitable matches is as accurate and effective as possible.

After studying Sociology & Criminology at the University of Winchester, Penny wanted to kick-start her career. Her sister had worked in recruitment and suggested she looked into it, so she applied to Blueprint and hasn’t looked back!

Outside of work, Penny has recently bought her first home and enjoys socialising with her friends and family. She loves to bake and is one of the celebrated “Blueprint Bakers”. She describes her job as extremely rewarding, fast-paced and challenging.

Sam Seymour

Lead Recruitment Consultant

Sam joined Blueprint in April 2019 after graduating with a degree in English and Journalism from Cardiff University. Since then, he has progressed as one of the key sales people within the business and currently operates in a Lead Consultant role.

His main responsibilities revolve around servicing a large number of Blueprint’s existing clients, as well as developing working relationships with new businesses in the Building Services sector. Alongside this, Sam leads our Employee Engagement Team, ensuring that all our staff are able to contribute their ideas towards improving the services Blueprint offer.

In his spare time, Sam is an avid film fan who enjoys global travel, eating out and 6 aside football!

Jon Grant

Senior Accounts Assistant

Jon joined Blueprint Recruitment in 2017 and has since become our Senior Accounts Assistant. Whilst working with us, he has achieved an AAT qualification and has also passed several ACCA exams to support his work here.

He is an integral part of Blueprint’s Accounts department, leading the weekly Payroll and supporting the Management Accounts. He describes his role as equally rewarding, challenging and supportive.

Jon is originally from Winchester. In his free time he enjoys playing in a darts league and watching sports. He’s also one of Blueprint’s best contenders during Pool tournaments and has had the privilege of holding the ‘Pool Champion’ title.
