Quality & Systems Manager - Eastleigh

 

Our client is a worldwide manufacturing organisation who are looking for a Quality & Systems Manager to support the QHSE Director in defining and implementing quality strategy within the company. The successful candidate will have had previous experience effectively managing quality practices in accordance with industry standards. The role also requires solid experience with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001).

The selected candidate will have a high level of strategic thinking as well as a technical mindset to oversee the company compliance with all the Product Certification Schemes that the company has undertaken. In addition to this, our client is looking for advanced proficiency in MS Office suite as well as well as a business mindset in order to be successful in this position.

Role:

Operational and customer support:

  • Assisting with new updates in the requirements of Product Certification Schemes.

  • Coordinating the execution of improvement projects.

  • Helping facilitate continuous improvement projects.

  • Assisting the Quality and Operations teams with the resolution of major product non-conformities identified internally or through customer claims.

Compliance:

  • Overseeing the Company Integrated Management System (IMS) and monitoring its efficiency via execution of internal IMS audits.

  • Facilitating and supporting third party audits to the  IMS and those related to the Product Certification Schemes.

  • Providing an interface with external parties and with the Corporate HQ team regarding the company Quality performance.

  • Assisting in the assessment and performance monitoring of new and current suppliers.

Quality Performance Reporting and Monitoring:

  • Running monthly Quality KPI reports to be presented to the Management team. This covers customer claims, cost of defective quality and results of audits related to all four sites.

  • Conducting annual reviews of the effectiveness of the IMS as well as the Company Quality Performance.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Educated up to degree level or similar in Electrical Engineering or other Technical/Engineering related subject.

  • Lead Auditor Trained (ISO9001,14001,45001).

  • Membership with a relevant institution (e.g. CQI).

  • A strong desire to drive change and bring dynamic thinking to the Quality function.
