Blueprint Recruitment Client Golf day 2024!

Last Friday, Blueprint’s top golfers swapped out their headsets for golf clubs and headed down to The Club at Cams Hall to host our very first Client Golf Day. The event was a great success and we are excited to recap how the day unfolded.

We kick-started the day bright and early, arriving at 9am for some delicious bacon rolls, tea and coffee. As the tournament commenced at 10.28am, the team spent the next spent hour chatting with their clients, comparing handicaps and exploring our exclusive Blueprint goody bags.

Before we knew it, it was time to tee off! We had five consecutive tee times for our five groups, each consisting of a mixture of three and four balls. Olivia and Harriet, members of Blueprint’s marketing team, had the pleasure of roaming around in the golf buggy, serving cold drinks and capturing the highlights of the day.

The tournament had 4 prizes up for grabs, two of which were ‘nearest to the pin’ and ‘the longest drive’. As we arrived at hole 7, our designated hole for nearest to the pin, the pressure was on to secure the coveted title. Participants carefully selected their clubs, gauged the wind, and meticulously lined up their shots, aiming for precision and accuracy to claim victory.

To his surprise, it was Blueprint’s very own Sam Seymour that landed the ball closest to the pin with a remarkable shot that left everyone in awe. His precision and skill were on full display, earning him the well-deserved title of nearest to the pin champion for this year's Client Golf Day.

One by one, each team made their way around the course, strategizing how to conquer the wind and navigate the twists and turns of the green. It was not long before we arrived at hole 14, a lengthy fairway that stretched far ahead, perfect for showcasing the longest drives of the day. Everybody was pleasantly surprised by the distance they achieved with their drives, however most balls did fall victim to landing in the rough, and therefore did not count!

Nevertheless, one of our clients, Kevin, unleashed a powerful drive that soared impressively down the fairway. Such a performance earned him the title of the longest drive champion, marking a memorable highlight of the Client Golf Day.

After an impressive 18 holes, it was time to head back to the club house for a well-deserved buffet and a (few) rounds of drinks! The food was absolutely delicious, and it’s safe to say we left no crumbs.

Once everybody had finished their food, the moment we had all been waiting for arrived – it was time to announce the winners of the tournament!

The results:

Nearest to the pin: Sam Seymour

Longest drive: Kevin

Overall winner: Russell

Winning team: Rob Taylor’s team, consisting of Rob, Gareth, Mike and Russell.

Congratulations to all of the winners, and a huge thank you to everyone who participated. It was a pleasure to meet our clients for a day filled with great company and friendly competition. We believe events like these are wonderful opportunities to show our appreciation for their continued support and partnership.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year for another fantastic day of golf, networking and delicious food.
