Attention all Engineering Managers!

We are looking for a highly experienced Engineering Manager to join a leading infrastructure provider in a contract position, outside IR35. This role will require you to work on a hybrid basis from our clients office in Manchester.

This is a great opportunity to work on a mixture of infrastructure projects across the UK, with an experienced team.

-Hourly rate from £60 to £65 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead engineering design across all project stages, ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

-Manage resources and scope, making sure teams are aligned on goals, timelines, and budgets.

-Coordinate with clients and partners to ensure smooth delivery and clear communication.

-Ensure compliance and manage risks by following governance standards and addressing issues early.

-Support team development and improve engineering processes through mentoring and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

-Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, or a relevant Engineering discipline.

-Chartered status (ICE, IStructE or similar) preferred.

-Extensive experience in engineering management within infrastructure, transport, or construction sectors.

-Strong knowledge of UK design standards, CDM regulations, and safety requirements.

-Proven ability to lead and coordinate technical teams across multiple disciplines.

-Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

-Experience working on large-scale projects and frameworks is highly desirable.
