Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a motivated Planning Manager to join a global leading consultancy in a permanent staff position. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis from either our clients Glasgow or Birmingham office.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead and manage a high-performing planning department, overseeing complex project planning, programme reporting systems, and strategic guidance aligned with organisational goals.

-Direct programme management activities using Critical Path Method (CPM), ensuring compliance with NEC3/NEC4 and industry best practices for project scheduling and controls.

-Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support cost management, forecasting, and project delivery.

-Ensure compliance and quality assurance, adhering to company policies, safety standards, and QA/QC processes across planning functions.

What we are looking for:

-Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field.

-Extensive experience (10 years) in project planning.

-Prior experienced within a management role is preferred.

-Strong knowledge and experience using Primavera P6.

-Requires field experience to develop detailed construction programmes and align them with engineering and procurement activities.

-Experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of electrical substations is preferred.

-Strong written and verbal communication abilities, and interpersonal skills.
