We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join a globally renowned consultancy within energy and oil & gas.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead pipeline inspection, integrity management, and compliance (PSR, PSSR) efforts, including audits (e.g. MAPD, TD1) and Written Schemes of Examination.

-Provide expert solutions for risk management, repair strategies, and inspection planning across transmission, distribution, and LNG systems.

-Conduct site visits, support inspections, and lead HSE-related tasks, including action close-outs.

-Lead bids, manage projects to ensure profitability, oversee sub-contractors, and maintain strong client relationships.

-Support proposal development, pricing, and client engagement to grow onshore pipeline and terminal integrity services.

What we are looking for:

-Proven experience in senior technical roles such as Pipeline Technical Authority, Gas Responsible Person, or PSSR Competent Person.

-Strong knowledge of PSSR and PSR legislation, compliance, and pipeline integrity management systems.

-In-depth understanding of gas transmission, distribution, and LNG systems, including HSE standards and best practices.

-Hands-on site and inspection experience across onshore pipeline and gas systems.

-Chartered engineer or actively working towards chartership.

-Degree-qualified in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or currently pursuing qualification.
