Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to be an active member of a leading structural engineering consultancy, in a permanent position. The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site from our client’s office in London, in which you will be responsible for a variety of commercial, education, refurbishment, and heritage projects, as a crucial part of a dynamic workforce and organisation.

Responsibilities:

-Produce concise structural designs and assessments for a variety of heritage, commercial, education, and refurbishment projects.

-Attend site visits to inspect and examine existing, and historic, buildings.

-Create accurate calculations, reports, and drawings that all meet a high-quality standard.

-Work alongside other professionals, including contractors, heritage stakeholders, and architects.

-Work on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring that they are developing effectively and efficiently, at a high quality and a timely manner.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or in a similar field, with 6+ years of experience in a related role.

-At, or working towards, a chartered status (CEng or similar)

-Prior experience working on projects, such as heritage, commercial, and refurbishment, is ideal but not essential.

-Proficient understanding of structural design software and the process of writing reports.

-Strong communicator with the ability to build rapport with clients and other professionals, and a problem-solving mindset.

-Can work both independently and collaboratively, when required.
