Join an innovative organisation where your skills and experience, as a talented Electrical Design Engineer, will help shape the future of the Built Environment. Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is offering a 6-month contract role, to one skilled individual, who will operate on a hybrid basis from their London office, 2 days a week. Within this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a variety of large-scale Middle Eastern projects, as a part of a supportive and dynamic team.
-Competitive hourly rate of £45-£53 (subject to experience).
-Hybrid working arrangement (2 days on-site minimum).
Responsibilities:
-Develop in-depth designs for electrical system, focusing on schematics, project layouts, specifications, and performance calculations.
-Support construction stages by overseeing contractor submissions, attending site visits and inspections, and settling design queries and concerns.
-Ensure all designs comply with current UK regulations, standards, and building codes, whilst maintaining accuracy across project documents and reports.
-Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the project delivery aligns with design intent and client requirements.
-Implement cost and energy solutions, ensuring project efficiency, taking lighting, power usage, energy conservation, and control systems into consideration.
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
-Demonstratable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, with a portfolio of previous works on international projects.
-Proficient understanding of design and modelling tools, including AutoCAD, BIM, and Revit.
-Solid grasp of current UK and International electrical and safety standards, regulations, and commissioning processes.
-Effective communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain a strong rapport with key project professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
-Strong time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work with project changes and constraints.
