Our client is looking for an experienced CAD Engineer to drive and promote innovation and brilliance within the Water sector. Joining in a permanent position, within our client’s leading civil engineering firm, you would be expected to work on-site from our client’s Wakefield office. This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to play a crucial role in the creation and development of several Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects, as an invaluable member of a skilled workforce.
-Competitive salary of £30,000-£45,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:
-Create accurate 2D and 3D designs for drainage and civil systems, with regards to client requirements and industry standards, using tools like Civil 3D, AutoCAD and BIM.
-Assist with design delivery throughout all project stages, with a focus on specifications, reports, estimates, technical reviews, and calculations.
-Work alongside various multidisciplinary professionals, supporting project planning processes, and the maintenance of effective and transparent communication.
-Implement all UK water industry knowledge and key hydraulic design procedures into all project elements.
-Conduct site visits and investigations, using GPS tools, to develop PCI data and implement all design works into BIM models, when necessary.
-Ensure full alignment with Health and Safety and CDM policies and procedures, whilst maintaining ISO 2001 quality standards.
Requirements:
-Extensive experience as a CDM Engineer, or a related role, creating 2D and 3D designs for projects within the Water sector.
-An impressive portfolio of previous works demonstrating strong ability to produce and develop accurate drawings for Drainage and Civil systems.
-Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients, stakeholders, and other professional teams, with strong communication skills.
-Solid understanding of CDM policies and regulations, risk management procedures, and health and safety practices.
-Strong technical background with an understanding of relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and BIM platforms (BIM360 and ACC).
