Our client, a leading civil engineering consultancy, based in London, are on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer, to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity for one talented individual to work on a hybrid basis, with all operations being centred around our client’s London office. -Competitive salary ranging from £50,000-£60,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

-Oversee the design works within a range of structural engineering projects, from concept to completion, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

-Manage professional project teams, focusing on task delegation, performance reviews, and supporting junior engineers towards ongoing professional development.

-Produce and analyse structural drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations, throughout all project stages.

-Work alongside architects, internal stakeholders, contractors, and clients, proposing structural solutions to potential issues, ensuring efficient project delivery.

-Monitor project deliverables, programme milestones, and budgets to promptly identify potential risks and concerns, allowing for appropriate escalation.

-Support business development through client presentations, proposal preparation, and ensuring brilliance through new advancements within structural engineering.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline, with a chartered status, or actively working towards attaining one.

-Demonstratable experience managing teams and producing works for a variety of structural engineering projects.

-Strong understanding of relevant software tools, such as Tekla, Tedds, Robot, or similar.

-Proficient acknowledgement of relevant industry and building standards, principles, and relevant design codes and construction strategies.

-Excellent communication and leadership skills, with an ability to manage projects within a tight deadline and budget.
