Our client, a civil engineering firm, are offering a 6-month contract role, to one talented individual. This is an unmissable opportunity to work on a flexible basis, with all works being based around our client’s office in Bristol. Expand your skills, experience, and professional portfolio with this opportunity to work on a variety of Data Centre projects, with a focus on underground drainage systems.

-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £40-£47 (subject to experience).

-Flexible working arrangements (will consider remote).

Responsibilities:

-Develop in-depth drainage systems designs, calculations, and documentation for Data Centre projects, ensuring full compliance with current industry standards.

-Assemble accurate reports, documentation, and drawings, whilst inspecting works to ensure project specifications and client requirements are being followed.

-Support with fee proposal preparation, scope definition, and bid documentation, when required, reinforcing business development.

-Liaise with multidisciplinary design professionals, clients, statutory bodies, and contractors to ensure accurate design and delivery implementation.

-Conduct site visits and meetings to oversee all site operations ensuring full design intent integration, whilst also identifying and resolving potential risks and issues.

-Promote and support continuous professional progression by keeping up to date with any technical advantages and through mentoring and guiding junior engineers.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

-Demonstratable experience as a Civil Engineer, or a similar role, ideally with an understanding of drainage systems within Data Centre projects.

-Strong understanding of drainage system design, with a proficiency in the use of relevant software tools, such as MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, and Civil3D.

-Profound time management abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset, with an ability to ensure project’s follow strict budget, quality, and time standards.

-Effective communication skills, with an ability to build and maintain rapport with clients, stakeholders, and other project professionals.
