-Competitive day rate ranging from £400-£425 (depending on experience).
-Initial on-site working arrangements, transitioning to Hybrid after a couple of months.
Responsibilities:
-Develop detailed mechanical system designs, from stage 4 to 5, from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
-Ensure all designs and works comply with relevant regulations, standards, and codes, whilst ensuring buildability and operational efficiency.
-Curate concise drawings, layout, model coordination, and specifications using BIM workflows and other relevant software tools.
-Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients, to locate potential issues, suggesting and implementing solutions, whilst managing changes to current designs.
-Contribute to refurbishment and upgrade projects, ensuring systems remain operational and disruptions are kept to a minimum during installation.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline, ideally with a chartered status or actively working towards attaining one.
-Extensive experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, or related position delivering complex aviation projects, with a focus on stages 4-5 of development.
-Significant knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, and relevant industry standards, regulations, codes, and key legislation.
-Demonstratable experience with designing and developing mechanical systems, using relevant software tools, such as Revit and AutoCAD.
-Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks timely and effectively, whilst assuming a proactive mindset.
