This leading engineering, architecture, construction, and environmental consultancy are offering a contract role, outside IR35, with the opportunity to work from their London office, on a hybrid basis. Responsibilities:
-Oversee detailed structural design production and development, from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with UK industry standards, and key regulations.
-Create, develop, and review drawings, structural elements and components, and sketches for a range of multidisciplinary projects.
-Liaise with CAD technicians and professionals, ensuring the production and development of precise drawings, in line with client requirements.
-Ensure the implementation of current structural engineering regulations, codes, and principles, whilst collating project data through in-depth research.
-Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective and transparent communication, whilst ensuring professional representation is maintained.
-Assemble relevant information and data to present to clients and key stakeholders, whilst conducting administrative activities and performance reviews.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, with an attained chartered status, or actively working towards one.
-7+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer, or a similar position, working within a consultancy environment, with an understanding of relevant processes and techniques.
-Significant technical background, with an understanding of relevant software tools, such as Tekla, ETABS, BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks and ACC), and Microsoft Office.
-Extensive experience with seismic design production, steel structures, and the production of detailed drawings for a range of projects, ideally EMEA.
-Strong and effective communication skills, with an ability to build and maintain rapport with project teams, and a willingness to travel across the UK and internationally.
