Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, based in London, is hoping to expand their engineering team with a seasoned Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, who will support business operations on a permanent basis. -Competitive salary ranging between £40,000 and £45,000 (subject to experience).

Responsibilities:
-Assist the production and implementation of detailed mechanical system designs, drawings, and models, within a variety of major commercial projects.
-Prepare and maintain accurate drawings, reports, specifications, and key documents, ensuring they remain up to date, allowing for smooth project handover.
-Liaise with multidisciplinary project professionals, ensuring clarity and transparency with project expectations and design intent, adhering to client requirements.
-Work alongside clients, stakeholders, and internal and external bodies, building and establishing rapport, providing technical insight and query resolution.
-Support value engineering, design review, and quality assurance processes, ensuring quality and consistency across all project outputs, whilst supporting project handover.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, with 2+ years of experience supporting the delivery of coordinated mechanical system designs.
-Profound understanding of mechanical systems and elements, and relevant industry software tools, including Revit, AutoCAD, and other design and analysis resources.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other project professionals.
-Ability to establish and maintain strong rapport with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and other relevant project parties.
-Strong design and interpreting abilities, with a profound attention to detail and a drive for ongoing professional development and growth opportunities.
