Electrical Design Engineer (Contract – Outside IR35)

Role Overview
An experienced Electrical Design Engineer is required to support a portfolio of TfL infrastructure projects, primarily focused on ticket hall lighting and smaller electrical works across stations and depots.
This is a contract role suited to a hands-on designer with strong experience in building services electrical design within live transport environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Electrical design delivery for TfL station and depot projects
· Ticket hall and general station lighting design
· Small-to-medium electrical packages within operational environments
· Coordination with internal design teams and stakeholders
· Production of electrical design documentation and drawings
· Involvement with CMS/control management systems (desirable)
Key Requirements
· Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services
· Previous TfL / rail/transport infrastructure experience is highly desirable
· Strong lighting design background
· Familiarity with CMS/control management systems is advantageous
· Comfortable working on multiple small electrical projects simultaneously
· Able to work predominantly office-based initially
Working Arrangement
· 5 days per week, office-based in Woolwich initially
· Flexibility to work from home 1–2 days per week once trust is established
