An exciting opportunity has become available for a Structural Design Engineer to join a global multidisciplinary consultancy at their London office on a hybrid working basis. The role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the education, healthcare, and hotel sectors.

 

This role would suit an Engineer seeking to further enhance their structural design expertise within a collaborative environment, working closely with experienced technical teams.

 

The Role

You’ll be involved in:

  • Perform structural analysis and design calculations
  • Design structures in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
  • Produce drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams such as architects, geotechnical, and MEP engineers
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural investigations
  • Contribute to sustainable and innovative engineering solutions

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles
  • Prior experience working as a Structural Design Engineer
  • Clear communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience with Structural software such as: Tekla, ETABS, Rhino and AutoCAD.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering
  • Many graduate and specialist roles prefer or require a master’s degree
  • Progress toward chartership is highly valued
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes or international design standards
