This role is ideal for a mechanically biased Resident Engineer, Clerk of Works or Site Inspector with strong building services experience who enjoys overseeing installation quality, ensuring compliance and acting as the technical link between design and construction teams.
Initially, the role will require approximately 3 days per week for the first six months, increasing to a full-time site presence from January 2027 through to project completion.
The Role
You'll be involved in:
- Inspecting mechanical building services installations on site
- Monitoring quality, workmanship and compliance with design specifications
- Supporting project delivery throughout the construction phase
- Reviewing installations against drawings and technical standards
- Identifying defects, non-conformances and technical issues
- Working closely with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders
- Producing inspection reports and progress updates
- Supporting commissioning and handover activities
What They're Looking For
- Experience as a Resident Engineer, Site Inspector, Clerk of Works or Building Services Engineer
- Strong mechanical building services background
- Experience overseeing MEP installations during construction
- Good understanding of quality assurance and site inspection processes
- Ability to identify technical issues and coordinate resolutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience within:
- High-end residential developments
- Large-scale mixed-use projects
- Building services consultancy environments
would be highly beneficial.
