This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys detailed design work, client interaction and seeing projects progress from design through to construction. You'll play a key role in the delivery of a major laboratory development, alongside associated office and customer experience facilities.

Whilst experience within pharmaceutical or laboratory environments would be beneficial, candidates from healthcare, commercial or other technically demanding building services sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

• Delivering mechanical building services design across complex projects
• Producing calculations, specifications and technical design documentation
• Supporting projects through detailed design and construction phases
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams and project stakeholders
• Attending design reviews and technical meetings
• Supporting site queries and construction-stage design updates
• Assisting with technically compliant and buildable engineering solutions

The initial phase will focus on detailed design, before transitioning into construction support and site coordination activities.

What They're Looking For

• Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within building services consultancy environments
• Strong mechanical building services design capability
• Experience producing detailed design packages
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently within a project team environment

Experience within:

• Life sciences facilities
• Healthcare projects
• Commercial developments
