An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading building services consultancy on a contract basis, supporting a busy workplace team across several active commercial projects in central London.
Whilst this is a Design Engineer role, it is suited to someone with strong electrical design experience who is also comfortable attending sites and contributing to technical delivery at construction stage.
The Role
You'll be involved in:
- Supporting electrical design delivery across commercial workplace projects at construction stage
- Reviewing drawings and technical submissions from contractors
- Attending site visits across central London locations as required
- Working closely with the internal project team to ensure design intent is maintained through construction
- Contributing to technical queries and site-stage coordination
What They're Looking For
- Experienced Electrical Design Engineer from a building services consultancy background
- Strong electrical design capability, this is not an RE or site-based role
- Comfortable carrying out drawing and technical submission reviews
- Able to visit sites across Southwark, Kings Cross and Paddington
- Experience on commercial and workplace sector projects preferred
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
- Comfortable working inside IR35 on an umbrella basis
