This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging existing buildings, developing practical engineering solutions and collaborating closely with architects and project teams throughout the design process.

You'll be joining a technically strong team delivering refurbishment-led projects across a variety of sectors, with a hybrid working arrangement from a Central London office.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

• Delivering structural design solutions for refurbishment and existing building projects
• Producing structural calculations, reports and technical specifications
• Assessing existing structures and developing strengthening solutions
• Working closely with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Supporting projects through design and technical delivery stages
• Attending design meetings and technical reviews
• Assisting with project coordination and client liaison

The role will focus heavily on refurbishment and redevelopment schemes, requiring practical engineering judgement and strong technical delivery skills.

What They're Looking For

• Experience as a Structural Engineer within a UK consultancy environment
• Strong building structures design capability
• Experience working on refurbishment or existing buildings projects
• Good understanding of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures
• Strong technical reporting and communication skills
• Ability to manage project responsibilities independently

Experience across commercial, residential, heritage or complex refurbishment projects would be highly beneficial.
