An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading building services consultancy delivering one of Scotland's largest healthcare developments.

This Electrical Design Engineer role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of technical design work, client engagement and project leadership. You'll play a key role in the delivery of a major hospital project, working closely with clients, design teams and multidisciplinary engineering professionals.

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will support the project through Stage 4 design, helping to shape the delivery of a landmark healthcare development while acting as a key point of contact for project stakeholders.

The Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be involved in:

• Delivering electrical building services designs across a major healthcare project
• Producing electrical calculations, specifications and technical reports
• Attending client, design team and project coordination meetings
• Supporting multidisciplinary project delivery teams
• Developing detailed designs through Stage 4
• Coordinating with mechanical engineers, architects and specialist consultants
• Providing technical guidance and engineering solutions
• Supporting project delivery to programme and quality requirements

This role combines technical design responsibilities with a strong client-facing element.

What They're Looking For

• Experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer within a building services consultancy
• Strong electrical building services design capability
• Experience delivering complex healthcare, commercial or large-scale public sector projects
• Good knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead meetings and represent the design team professionally

Healthcare project experience would be advantageous, but candidates from other complex project sectors will also be considered.
