An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – MEICA to join a leading engineering contractor delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

This Senior Project Engineer role is ideal for someone with a strong MEICA background who enjoys managing the technical delivery of complex projects while working closely with operational, design and commercial teams. You'll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across water treatment and wastewater treatment sites, ensuring engineering excellence from design through to commissioning.

The successful Senior Project Engineer will support the delivery of high-profile projects while developing towards, or operating as, an Authorised Person (AP) within a major UK water framework.


The Role

As a Senior Project Engineer – MEICA, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the engineering delivery of MEICA projects across water and wastewater treatment sites
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary design, construction and commissioning activities
  • Supporting projects from design through to installation, testing and handover
  • Reviewing technical documentation, drawings and specifications
  • Working closely with site teams, subcontractors and client representatives
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely on programme and within budget
  • Managing engineering risks and resolving technical issues throughout project delivery
  • Supporting commissioning activities and operational handovers
  • Contributing towards Authorised Person responsibilities where appropriate

This Senior Project Engineer position offers the opportunity to work on critical UK water infrastructure projects within a collaborative and technically focused environment.


What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong MEICA background.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer or MEICA Engineer
  • Strong experience delivering water treatment (WTW) and wastewater treatment (WWTW) projects
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems
  • Experience managing engineering delivery across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage technical challenges and drive project delivery

The following would be highly advantageous:

  • Current Authorised Person (AP) or Authorised Engineer status
  • Candidates looking to progress towards Authorised Person responsibilities
  • Experience working on AMP programmes or major UK water frameworks
  • HNC, HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • SMSTS, CSCS or relevant site safety qualifications
