Between:£40 and £45 per Hour (Subject To Experience)

We are seeking a talented Drainage Engineer, on behalf of our client, a global engineering consultancy, based in London, who will bring their skills, talents, and expertise to a contract role, outside IR35. You’ll be responsible for the design and delivery of complex drainage systems, across a variety of projects, whilst also overseeing the maintenance of key documentation.

-Competitive hourly rate of £40-£45 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

-Establish strong rapport with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that all design works adhere to their needs, expectations, and requirements.

-Lead and oversee the delivery of numerous drainage system projects, in line with SUDS requirements and principles, maintaining budget restrictions and timelines.

-Manage project teams focused on the delivery of drainage strategy reports, flood risk assessments, and in-depth drainage designs, across all project stages.

-Analyse technical project documentation, translating the information across to clients, internal stakeholders, and regulators, ensuring clarity and transparency.

-Nurture adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices, whilst ensuring health and safety and sustainability practices are maintained and followed.

-Promote the professional growth within junior engineers through the provision of ongoing support, training, and mentorship, further ensuring business development.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, or a related field, ideally with an obtained Chartered Engineer status.

-Substantial experience within a drainage engineering role, or similar, leading a team of professionals through the delivery of complex drainage system projects

-Strong proficiency in the use of relevant industry software resources and tools, including AutoCAD, Civil3D, InfoDrainage, and Causeway flow.

-Significant acknowledgement of UK industry standards, regulations, best practices, and SuDS principles, preferably with experience within the water sector.

-Excellent communicator, with a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to work collaboratively with other professionals.
