Blueprint Recruitment Solutions are working closely with a well-respected, Net Zero Utility and Energy contractor who have various sites across the UK.

At present, they have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Field Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, working on various electrical contracts across North Wales and West Yorkshire.

If you are an experienced Electrical Field Manager who strives for Net Zero, then this could be the position for you!

As the Field Electrical Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing all necessary coordination of personnel / sub-contractors and site management, client liaison, supervision and technical support in the delivery of construction work activities
  • Ensuring all required data, records, forms etc. are recorded and submitted accurately and by the appropriate deadlines to the Project Manager
  • Reviewing working documentation to ensure the content of the documents are sufficient and relevant to the tasks to be carried out
  • Writing RAMS and reviewing sub-contactors’ RAMS
  • Carrying out setting to work of relevant operatives, working supervisors and sub-contractors
  • Supervising the relevant operatives, working supervisors and sub-contractors allocated to their relevant service. This includes the implementation of required health, safety, wellbeing, environment and quality standards
  • Ensuring all works being carried out are covered by a safe system of working, all the necessary briefings have been carried out and reviewing/signing off
  • Assisting the Project Manager with management and programming of works, and requirements for plant and materials
  • Preparing ITP quality records and managing the implementation
  • Supporting the Resource Manager to ensure that the field operations are effectively resourced and trained in line with contract objectives / targets and that key personnel are retained and developed
  • Working with the Resource Manager in order to develop and implement a strategy for the recruitment and training of competent field resources to deliver the contracts requirements
  • Overseeing the operational resource / activity within areas of responsibility to professional, financial and quality standards

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

Essential:

  • Level 3 NVQ award in electrical installation (see NICEIC approved list)
  • 18th edition qualification (City & Guilds 2382)
  • Inspection and test qualification (City & Guilds 2391-52 level 3)
  • Managing electricians in the installation of commercial electrical infrastructure
  • Experience of managing and setting operational teams to work
  • Evidence of managing health & safety in construction
  • CSCS manager card
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
  • IOSH / NEBOSH Qualification
  • Full driving licence

Desirable:

  • EV charging qualification (City & Guilds 2919-02 - domestic and commercial)
  • Level 3 award in Assessing Vocational Achievement (6317-33)
