Our client is a design and build company providing maintenance and operational services across industrial, commercial and residential sewage treatment and floodwater projects. They are looking for a Bid Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Preference for candidates to be based out of Truro, however our client could consider candidates in Bristol.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to work for a growing organisation where the selected candidate will have a high level of responsibility in driving projects forward.
The selected candidate will work in partnership with the Directors and Regional Sales Managers to evaluate, and to then develop, opportunities to achieve the winning submission. The Bid Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the:
Evaluation of incoming opportunities
Go-No-Go decision process
Preparation of technical and commercial responses
Financial and technical adjudication process of the submission information
The role will also involve overseeing all technical and commercial aspects in accordance with company procedures, developing ‘best practice’ systems and processes, and implementing them across the Bid-preparation team.
Liaison with the Directors and Regional Sales Managers to evaluate incoming opportunities
Management of the Go-No-Go process
Liaison with both internal and external parties to help develop the winning strategy for
Oversee and lead the bid team(s) in the planning and delivery of PQQ and bid submissions, in line with agreed strategies
Plan and allocate tasks to team member(s) to prepare responses for each bid submission as required, within allotted timescales
Act as an available point of contact for customers during the bid process
Presentation of the tender package for internal evaluation and adjudication prior to submission
Identify and develop strategies to support the ‘customer for life’ process
Additional tasks, to include:
1. Evaluation of incoming opportunities and selection of those with maximum potential to win
2. Development of a Strategy to achieve the Winning Bid
3. Preparation of the Winning Bid
4. Compliance with corporate governance requirements
5. Handover to operational teams at contract award
