Exciting new opportunity for a Business Manager to join an award winning engineering company in London on a long term contract basis. Our client is a leading engineering company working on a high profile rail project.

As the Business Continuity Manager, you will lead, oversee and own the business continuity arrangements and the recovery strategy with respect to COVID-19 . As a strategic role, you will also continually set and review the COVID-19 strategy to ensure we minimize disruption and maintain operability throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Business Continuity function and advising on the approach to Business Continuity, Organisational Resilience and Disaster Recovery with respect to COVID-19.

  • Creating and executing the COVID-19 Response Strategy, ensuring it is appropriate at all times and ensuring the client are operating to it.

  • Researching COVID-19 best practices, winning approval to transfer into the client where applicable.

  • Act as a strategic advisor, working closely with Head of SHWE & Occupational Health & Wellbeing Lead on the programmes COVID-19 response.

  • Ensuring that Stakeholders are informed regularly of performance and compliance in response to COVID-19.

  • Reviewing key learning assisting and/ or manage the investigation of reported COVID-19 cases.


Essential Requirements:

  • The ability to thrive in pressure situations

  • The ability to empathise and communicate with all people, regardless of their background or circumstances

  • Excellent organisations, communication and time management skills
  • A passion of Safety, Health and Environment
  • Be able to work on own initiative when required

  • Be computer literate

  • 5 years of SHE related experience.

  • Health and Safety Construction Certificate or equivalent

  • Experience working in the utility sector would be beneficial

  • Project Management

  • Pandemic or Disaster Planning

Candidates must possess a CSCS card.
