A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join our client on a permanent basis. Our client is a leading managed services provider in the UK, who deals with a range of reliable IT Services. They work with a range of highly-reputable clients, and are now looking for a Development Manager to push them to the next level.  

Reporting to the Director, the selected candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities. They will have excellent communication skills and a flexible work attitude, as you will be travelling to meet with a range of clients on a regular basis. You will also focus on target outputs such as increasing the company profile and services offered, and acquiring new business. Other responsibilities will include working closely with the managing director to identify and secure opportunities that meet target requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The IT sector has been deemed a key role by the Government therefore client visits are required.

  • Develop proposals that aim to exceed clients’ expectations

  • Assist or act as the Bid Manager for tender proposals, and provide management strategies

  • Raise company profile as the industry leader by networking

  • Oversee that client relationships are maintained and developed, and assist teams for to improve client satisfaction

  • Increase client expenditure, own company profile, and services offered to meet targets

  • Site visits to liaise with clients

Essential Requirements:

  • Solid sales experience

  • Ability to liaise with key clients

  • Excellent sales experience within the IT sector

  • Ability to negotiate with customers and manage deals through good use of financial skills and negotiation

  • Direct Experience with C-level clients

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Determined, communicative individual with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Self-Motivated (This will be a WFH based role)

 The ideal candidate would be confident in developing relationships with clients over a long timescale. This is a permanent position with a negotiable salary dependent on experience.
