Blueprint Recruitment are working with a well-respected and market-leading design consultancy who currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join their Water Team in London. Our client is looking for a passionate Civil Engineer with strong technical, advisory and client liaison experience to join their talented team working on a range of water resources, flood risk and urban water projects.


You will be joining a technical delivery team working on a wide variety of projects of global and national importance.  You will experience delivering studies, investigations, pioneering, scheme, and detailed design projects across our client frameworks.  You will be encouraged to take responsibility and develop your skills, experience, and confidence.  Along the way, you will have the opportunity to work alongside high calibre engineers of all disciplines and be supported and mentored by a senior civil engineer to help you achieve Chartership in the shortest possible time.

The role itself is one that requires imaginatively developing solutions to meet the desired outcomes of our projects, including assessment of asset system performance, root cause analysis, design calculations, engineering drawings/sketches, specifications, and reports.

There is a site data collection, site survey coordination, and data manipulation/analysis component of the work. This is in addition to the provision of technical and advisory support for internal initiatives, client studies, and client feasibility reports. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you would support and collaborate with multidisc teams producing  proposals and tenders.

About you:

We're looking for early to mid-career Civil Engineers with curiosity, personal drive, and technical know-how.  You will be as inspired as we are by the problems we are solving and excited to be part of the team delivering the solutions. 


  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)

  • Actively working towards Chartership

  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams , with a desire to learn and work in a team

  • Client liaison and advisory experience

  • Passionate about the UK Water Sector

    Desirable experience:

  • Experience delivering clean water network, flood defence and/or treatment works design

  • Experience within the UK Water Industry

  • Digital skills such as Python, FME, excel

  • Presentation of results in the form of drawings, meetings, presentations, and reports.
