Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking to join a Design & Build Contractor? Do you wish to join a company where you will work on secured frameworks with a niche Water Sector Specialist?

This is an excellent opportunity for an commercially-astute and motivated individual to join a well-respected and specialist business in the UK Market. You will to join an award-winning and innovative contractor managing a variety of projects for Yorkshire Water. The selected candidate will report into the Commercial Director and be responsible for all commercial matters relating the Framework agreements and contracts.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:

  • Allocating resource to meet project demands.

  • Identify development requirements.

  • Listen to problems and advise where necessary.

  • Develop processes and procedures to meet business objectives.

  • Develop and review performance measures.

     

  • Liaising with Internal and External Parties:

  • Develop Customer and Suppler relationships.

  • Negotiate accounts and terms and conditions.

  • Advise internal parties commercially and contractually.

  • Identify win: win situations and actions.

     

  • Commercial and Contractual Awareness:

  • Advise estimating re onerous terms and conditions.

  • Advise project and management teams.

  • Understand and utilise contract law and contracts.

  • Understanding of technical and measurement functions.

     

  • Risk Analysis:

  • Advise project teams depending on scenario

  • Determine effect of specifics on business objectives.

  • Advise management team.

 

  • Cash and Old Debt Collection:

  • Manage inflow and outflow.

  • Establish procedures.

  • Deliver against approved budgets.

  • Target areas of improvement.

     

  • Financial Reporting:

  • Management of contract accounts.

  • Preparation of budgets including overhead cost analysis at

  • business level.

  • To comply with all Health and Safety responsibilities
    commensurate with the role, as outlined in the Health and
    Safety policy.

Experience/Qualifications Needed:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant commercial discipline.

  • Experience in a lead commercial role working on medium to large projects within the UK Water Industry.

  • Ability to demonstrate budgetary control.

  • Experience managing Contracts through NEC suite of documentation.
