Looking to speak with Document Control professionals to work with a Prestigious M&E contractor on a long term Pharmaceutical project in Surrey.

My client are one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary building, engineering and M&E services providers with over 35 years’ experience in Mechanical and Electrical services, commissioning management and digital engineering across Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Rail and Residential sectors.

The successful candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the project and will be required to provide support to the project team in all areas of administration and document controlling by maintaining incoming and outgoing documentation to project requirements, and recording and disputing documents and drawings in accordance with project procedures and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to produce reports about the various document control inboxes

  • Operate the document control process appropriate for each category and classification of document/drawing to ensure effective creation, control, management, recovery and change revision control

  • Carry out routine document control activities for the company, including document release and publishing, query handling, management of transmittals, copying, scanning and library management

  • Support to departments in the issue receipt and tracking of all documentation both electronically and in hardcopy where appliable

In order to carry out the above tasks effectively, it is essential for candidates to have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Proven experience working within a similar role
  • Previous experience using BIW software
  • Construction, building services or M&E experience is compulsory
  • Experience with the use of spreadsheet, database and word processing
  • Experience in a range of EDMS (electronic document management systems)
  • Excellent organisational skills, including time management and workload prioritisation
  • Good supervisory qualities, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivation and the drive to take on new challenges
