Blueprint Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Chemist to join a reputable company on a permanent basis, located in Bedford.

Acting as the face of the business for many clients, you will actively visit a wide range of industrial and commercial client sites, ensuring that all hazardous waste is assessed, segregated, packaged, stored and collected correctly. As a Mobile Chemist you will provide a high level of service to each client site, ensuring best practice Health, Safety and Environmental policies and regulations are followed.

The clients and customer sites range from small to large, specialist businesses to multinational organisations, so effective interpersonal skills for all levels are required.

This role offers variety of each day, analysing hazardous waste and materials on site to determine, check and clarify classification for safe packaging and future disposal in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way.

Key responsibilities:

·         List and identify all wastes and materials, through testing and analysis on site

·         Maintain health and safety awareness to prevent risks to team members and clients

·         Ensure that packaging, labelling, and collection of hazardous waste complies with company procedures and industry policies.


·         Valid UK driving licence as the job involves driving to sites across the South

·         Science / Chemistry related Degree

·         Good communication skills to liaise with a range of customers

·         Knowledge of the waste industry/dangerous goods or knowledge of environmental and/ or Health & Safety legislation would be advantageous, although full training will be given
