Our client is a major company in the UK Water Sector. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis in Berkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, responsible for managing projects from £100k to £1million. The successful candidate will be managing a portfolio of around 20-30 schemes.


Role:


The selected candidate will be responsible for developing solutions and ensuring that project deliverables are achieved in a timely manner within cost. You will manage a portfolio of projects through the entire lifecycle from outline through design, construction and handover. As Project Manager, you will be the main point of contact for external customers, project team members, and internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Be the main point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Delivery of project outcomes, taking into account Health and Safety, programme, quality and cost.
  • Project forecasting.
  • Progress reporting against, time, cost and quality.
  • Identifying and briefing appropriately profiled projects to meet business requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive constantly improving health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Initiate and develop communication and strong working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Apply commercial acumen in managing contractors and suppliers to deliver best value solutions to agreed projects.


Experience/Qualifications:


  • Experienced leader with project management experience.
  • Experience working on infrastructure projects – trunk mains, sewerage systems, pipelines.
  • Experience with NEC Forms of Contract.
  • Comfortable adapting your communication style to field staff as well as more corporate senior stakeholders, and you will display demonstrable experience of this.
  • Project delivery experience.
  • The ability to gain credibility.
  • Chartered Engineer (Advantageous).
  • Project Management Qualification (Advantageous).
  • Competent at using appropriate company IT systems and office software.
  • Previous experience of managing delivery partners and supply chain across a large geographical region is also beneficial and you must be able to present on deliverables and progress to senior stakeholders in an articulate manner.
